EVERKA Development Car - 2024 G87 M2 6MT

The 2024 BMW G87 M2 6MT serves as the primary development platform for EVERKA Motorsport’s G8X track program.

Rather than building the car around a single lap-time target or a collection of individual modifications, the goal is to develop a complete, repeatable track package for the G8X platform — improving braking performance, suspension control, chassis response, drivetrain feel, thermal management, and overall durability.

Every stage of the car is developed through real-world track use. Components are evaluated and refined based on lap-time data, driver feedback, tire behavior, temperatures, wear, consistency, and serviceability.

The result is an evolving development car used to validate EVERKA Motorsport components under the same conditions our customers experience on track.

Track Performance

The G87 is continuously tested at Texas circuits, with lap times used as reference points throughout the development process.

Current Lap Times

  • Eagles Canyon Raceway — 2.7 CCW: 2:04.03
  • Motorsport Ranch Cresson — 1.7 CCW: 1:20.4

These benchmarks allow us to evaluate changes in suspension setup, braking performance, chassis balance, tires, and overall vehicle performance as the build continues to evolve.

Wheels & Tires

The car currently runs an 18-inch square setup selected around tire availability, brake clearance, track performance, and predictable handling balance.

Wheels & Tires

  • LUSSA 18x11 Wheels
  • Rydanz R50 295/35R18 Tires
  • EVERKA Race Stud Kit
  • EVERKA Motorsport Lug Nuts

The square configuration provides consistent front-to-rear balance while also allowing easier tire rotation and trackside servicing.

The 18-inch platform also gives us access to a wide range of track-focused tire options while reducing wheel and tire mass compared with larger factory-sized combinations.

Brakes

Braking performance is one of the core development areas of the G87 program.

The factory braking system has been replaced with an EVERKA Motorsport GT3-derived brake package designed around motorsport hardware, increased thermal capacity, improved pedal consistency, and easier track servicing.

Brake System

  • EVERKA GT3 Brake Kit
  • EVERKA Brake Cooling Kit

The brake cooling package works alongside the GT3 brake system to manage rotor, pad, caliper, and surrounding component temperatures during sustained track use.

Our brake development is focused on more than peak stopping power. Pedal consistency, temperature control, pad wear, rotor life, serviceability, and repeatable braking performance throughout a session are equally important.

Chassis & Suspension

The suspension package is being developed as a complete system rather than a collection of individual components.

At the center of the setup is the Penske × EVERKA coilover package.

Chassis & Suspension

  • Penske × EVERKA 2-Way Inverted Coilovers
  • EVERKA Adjustable Rear Toe Arms
  • EVERKA Spherical Bearing / Monoball Bushing Replacement Kit

The Penske × EVERKA system uses a motorsport-oriented inverted damper architecture with independent damping adjustment, allowing the chassis to be tuned around different tires, tracks, surface conditions, and vehicle setups.

Throughout the suspension, factory rubber bushings are replaced where appropriate with spherical-bearing and monoball solutions developed by EVERKA Motorsport.

Reducing unwanted compliance helps maintain suspension geometry under braking and cornering, improving steering response, alignment consistency, and overall chassis precision.

Engine & Exhaust

Engine modifications remain relatively straightforward, with the focus placed on airflow, exhaust efficiency, weight reduction, heat management, and reliability rather than pursuing maximum dyno output.

Engine & Exhaust

  • MST Single-Side Air Intake
  • JBOM 100-Cell Downpipes
  • EVERKA Single Midpipe
  • Custom M4 CSL Titanium Muffler
  • EVERKA Magnetic Drain Plug

The exhaust system combines an EVERKA single-midpipe configuration with a custom M4 CSL titanium rear muffler.

This setup reduces exhaust restriction and weight while retaining an OEM-inspired rear exhaust layout.

The MST intake and high-flow downpipes further improve airflow through the S58 while maintaining the broad, usable power delivery required for track driving.

Drivetrain

One of the reasons we chose the six-speed manual G87 M2 as the development platform is the level of driver involvement it provides.

Drivetrain

  • CAE Shifter

The CAE shifter transforms the shift interface by reducing throw and positioning the shifter closer to the steering wheel.

The result is faster, more deliberate gear changes and improved driver ergonomics during track driving.

Interior & Electronics

The interior remains driver-focused and functional, with modifications selected to improve control, data integration, and weight.

Interior & Electronics

  • Zestek CAN Hub Steering Wheel System
  • EVERKA Lithium Battery

The Zestek CAN Hub provides additional steering-wheel functionality and vehicle data integration while supporting the increasingly track-focused cockpit.

The EVERKA lithium battery replaces the significantly heavier factory battery, reducing vehicle weight while retaining the electrical performance required for the car.

Developed on Track

This car is not a finished project.

It is an evolving test platform used to develop, validate, and refine EVERKA Motorsport components under real track conditions.

Each change is evaluated as part of the complete vehicle rather than in isolation. Suspension setup affects tire performance. Brake temperatures influence consistency. Chassis compliance changes alignment under load. Weight reduction affects braking, acceleration, and transient response.

The goal is to understand how each system works together and apply those lessons to the components we develop for the BMW G8X platform.

As development continues, the car will be used to further test suspension geometry, braking systems, chassis components, cooling solutions, weight reduction, drivetrain upgrades, and additional track-focused hardware.

Development Philosophy

The goal of the G87 program is simple:

Build a faster, more consistent, and more serviceable G87 M2 — then use everything we learn on track to develop better parts for our customers.

Lap time is important, but repeatability matters just as much.

A component that performs for one fast lap is not enough. The car needs to remain predictable through an entire session, maintain consistent temperatures, provide stable driver feedback, and be easy to inspect and service between sessions.

That philosophy guides the development of every EVERKA Motorsport component used on the car.

Follow the Development

The G87 development program will continue to evolve as new components, suspension setups, tires, and track configurations are tested.

Future updates will include new development parts, track testing, lap-time improvements, technical data, and lessons learned from the program.
